I’m Nicklas.
I’m a tattoo artist based at The Black Mark in Northcote, Melbourne. My main focus is neo-Japanese, neo-traditional and anime tattoos, and I also take on realism projects.
I grew up in Roskilde, Denmark, and spent seven years working at Shipshape Tattoo in Auckland before moving to Melbourne. Japanese art, comics and anime have been a big influence on my work.
Working together
I enjoy working on everything from smaller pieces to sleeves and full backpieces. If you’ve got an idea, send through a few references and let me know where you’d like the tattoo. We can talk through the size, placement and design, then take it from there.
Melbourne and overseas
Alongside my work in Melbourne, I travel internationally for tattooing. If you’d like to get tattooed when I’m overseas, get in touch with your city and see if i have any plans to visit, otherwise if you are coming to Melbourne i am always happy to try and work with your dates.
